Anselm of Laon

Anselm of Laon was an early twelfth-century theologian, chancellor of the cathedral school of Laon and the most famous teacher of Scripture of his generation. His lectures, attended by Abelard among many others, helped to form the Glossa Ordinaria, the standard medieval commentary on the Bible.
