The Augustinian Canon of Eu is the anonymous author of the Life of Saint Laurence O’Toole, the twelfth-century archbishop of Dublin who died at the priory of Eu in Normandy in 1180. Writing in the community where the saint was buried, he produced the earliest and fullest account of the peacemaker-primate of Norman Ireland.
