Bobolenus of Luxeuil

Bobolenus was a priest and monk of the Luxeuil region who styled himself ’the lowliest of all priests’. Commissioned by the brothers Dicuil, Leodemund and Ingofrid, he wrote the Passion of Saint Germanus of Grandval around 675, recording what the saint’s own companions had seen — the life and murder of the first abbot of Moutier-Grandval.
