Churchman of Rouen

The Churchman of Rouen is the anonymous author of the earliest Life of Saint Audoin (Ouen), bishop of Rouen and chancellor of King Dagobert, written in the seventh century not long after the saint’s death in 684. It is one of the principal sources for the court and church of the late Merovingian kingdom.
