Churchman of St Andrews

The Churchman of St Andrews is the anonymous author of the so-called St Rule legend, the twelfth-century account of how the relics of Saint Andrew came to Fife, together with a Life of Saint Monan. His work supplied the church of St Andrews with its foundation story and underpinned its claim to apostolic dignity.
