The later Churchman of St Andrews is the anonymous author of the thirteenth-century version of the Legend of Saint Andrew, retelling how Saint Rule brought the apostle’s relics to the place afterwards called St Andrews. Composed a century after the earlier account, it reflects the mature form of the church’s foundation legend.
