Facundus of Hermiane
Facundus of Hermiane was a sixth-century bishop of Hermiane in North Africa, the boldest defender of the Three Chapters against Justinian. His twelve books To Justinian argued that the emperor’s condemnation betrayed Chalcedon, and his exile made him a martyr of the African resistance to imperial theology.
