Gaudentius of Brescia was a fourth- and fifth-century bishop of Brescia, a friend of Ambrose who preached the dedication of his own basilica. His surviving sermons, including the paschal catecheses and a defence of the procession to Rome, preserve the voice of a north Italian pastor of the Nicene age.
