Gennadius of Constantinople

Gennadius of Constantinople was patriarch of Constantinople from 458 to 471, remembered as a learned exegete who set the church of the capital on the Chalcedonian settlement. His commentaries on the epistles of Paul survive in fragments in the catenae, and his episcopate is counted among the ablest of the fifth century.
