Gennadius of Massilia
Gennadius of Massilia, also called Gennadius of Marseilles, was a fifth-century presbyter whose On Illustrious Men continued Jerome’s catalogue of Christian authors and whose book On Ecclesiastical Dogmas summarised the faith for his generation. His notices preserve the memory of nearly a hundred early writers, many otherwise lost.
