The Irish Monk is the anonymous author of the Catalogue of the Saints of Ireland, which classes the saints of the Irish church in three orders, and of the Voyage of Bran mac Febal, the first of the great Irish immram voyage-tales. Written in the seventh and eighth centuries, they preserve the piety and the storytelling genius of the early Irish church.
