The Irish Monk is the anonymous author of the Fifteen Tokens of Doomsday, the Irish apocalypse enumerating the fifteen signs that will herald the end of the world. Written in the twelfth century, it is the fullest vernacular statement of the eschatology that runs through early Irish preaching.
