Jacob Bar-Salibi
Jacob Bar-Salibi, also called Dionysius bar Salibi, was a twelfth-century Syriac Orthodox bishop of Amida and the most prolific writer of his church in the Syriac renaissance. His commentaries on Scripture, his liturgical and polemical works, and his Chronicle preserve the learning of the Jacobite church.
