Máel Muire ua Gormáin was abbot of Knock (Cnoc na n-Apstal) near Louth, who died in 1181. He compiled the Martyrology of Gorman (Félire Uí Gormáin), a metrical calendar naming a saint for every day of the year drawn from the older calendars and martyrologies of Ireland and the universal church.
