The Monk of Brecon is the anonymous author of the Lineage of Brychan, the genealogy of the children of the Welsh saint-king Brychan Brycheiniog, and of the tract on the site of Brycheiniog. Written in the eleventh or twelfth century, they preserve the traditions of the chief saintly family of Wales.
