The Monk of Corcomroe is the anonymous author of the Life of Mac Creiche, patron of Kilmacrehy in the barony of Corcomroe, County Clare. Written in the twelfth century, it preserves the Burren traditions of a saint who turned back raiders and mastered the eel of Loch Raha.
