Monk of Fontenelle
The Monk of Fontenelle is the anonymous author of the Lives of Saints Wandrille, Ansbert and Lambert — the founders and first abbots of Fontenelle (Saint-Wandrille) — together with the Life of Saint Condedus of Belcinac. Written in the eighth and ninth centuries, they are the principal source for the history of the great Norman abbey of the Seine valley.
