The Monk of Kilabban is the anonymous author of the Life of Saint Abban, the patron of Maghernaidhe (Kilabban) in Leix and nephew of Saint Ibar. Written in the twelfth century, it preserves the traditions of a saint whose churches stand among the oldest of Leinster.
