Monk of Llancarfan

The Monk of Llancarfan is the anonymous author of the Life of Saint Elgar, the hermit executed for a murder he did not commit whose piety was vindicated by signs from heaven. Written at the end of the eleventh century, probably at Llancarfan in Glamorgan, it is a curiosity of the Welsh hagiographical tradition.
