The Monk of Lorrha is the anonymous author of the Life of Ruadán, founder of Lorrha in Tipperary, the saint who cursed the palace of Tara and bargained with kings. Written in the twelfth century, it preserves the traditions of one of the most formidable of the early Irish saints.
