The Monk of Lure is the anonymous author of the Life of Saint Deicola (Deel), the Irish monk who left Columbanus at Luxeuil to found Lure in the Vosges. Written in the tenth century, it preserves the traditions of one of the Columbanian abbeys of the southern Vosges.
