The Monk of Lynally is the anonymous author of the Life of Colman of Lann Elo (Lynally) in Offaly, the poet-saint remembered for his knowledge of Scripture and his friendship with Columba. Written in the twelfth century, it preserves the traditions of the patron of one of the churches of the Uí Néill lands.
