Monk of Menat

The Monk of Menat is the anonymous author of the Life of Saint Meneleus (Mauvier), the eighth-century abbot who restored the monastery of Menat in the Auvergne and was buried there. Written in the tenth century, it preserves the traditions of one of the Columbanian houses of the Combrailles.
