The Monk of Seir-Kieran is the anonymous author of the two Irish recensions of the Life of Ciarán of Saighir, the early saint of Offaly whose church of Seir-Kieran claimed him as one of the pre-Patrician founders of Irish Christianity. Written in the twelfth century, they preserve one of the richest of the Ossory saint traditions.
