The Monk of St Mullins is the anonymous author of the Birth and Life of Saint Moling, the seventh-century abbot of St Mullins (Tech Moling) in Carlow who won the remission of the Borama tribute from King Finsnechta. Written in the twelfth century, it preserves the traditions of a saint remembered as poet, prophet and builder of his monastery’s millrace.
