The Monk of St Trudpert is the anonymous author of the Passion of Saint Trudpert, the Irish missionary hermit martyred in the Breisgau whose cell became the abbey of Sankt Trudpert in the Münstertal. Written in the ninth century, it preserves the traditions of the founder of one of the holy glens of the southern Black Forest.
