The Monk of Stavelot is the anonymous author of the Life of Saint Remaclus, the companion of Saint Sigebert who founded the double abbey of Stavelot-Malmedy in the Ardennes. Written in the ninth century, it preserves the traditions of the apostle of the forest cantons of the lower Meuse.
