The Taghmon Monk is the anonymous author of the early Life of Saint Munnu, also called Fintán, abbot of Tech Munnu (Taghmon) in Wexford. His eighth-century text preserves the memory of the saint who, in the great story, refused to die before he had greeted the new-born Columba.
