The Monk of Tallaght is the anonymous author of the Old-Irish Treatise on the Psalter, the eighth-century exegetical work discussing the authorship, division and inner meaning of the Psalms in the manner of the Irish schools. Written in the eighth or ninth century, it is a principal witness to early Irish biblical learning.
