Munster Jurist

The Munster Jurist is the anonymous author of the church-related extracts of the Senchas Mór, the great eighth-century collection of Irish law preserved in the schools of Munster. His selections gather the tracts on the church’s dues, sanctuary and the relations of clergy and people — the principal record of early Irish ecclesiastical law.
