Petrus Alphonsi
Petrus Alphonsi was a twelfth-century Spanish Jew converted to Christianity, physician and scholar of the court of Alfonso I. His Dialogue against the Jews and his Disciplina Clericalis - the book that brought Eastern tales into Latin literature - made him a bridge between Jewish learning and the medieval West.
