Phileas of Thmuis
Phileas of Thmuis was an early fourth-century bishop of Thmuis in Egypt, martyred under Diocletian, remembered for the letter on the Alexandrian martyrs preserved by Eusebius. His testimony to the tortures endured by the Christians of his city is among the most moving documents of the Great Persecution.
