Polycrates of Ephesus

Polycrates of Ephesus was a late second-century bishop of Ephesus remembered for the letter to Pope Victor in which he defended the Asian custom of keeping Easter on the fourteenth of Nisan. His appeal to the tombs of the apostles and martyrs of Asia is a principal witness to the Quartodeciman tradition.
