Pseudo-Jerome
Pseudo-Jerome is the name given to the anonymous authors of Latin commentaries and sermons ascribed to Jerome, above all the celebrated Commentary on Mark that supplied the medieval church with its shortest patristic exposition. The corpus shows how the great translator’s name became a guarantee of learned and orthodox exegesis.
