Pseudo-Marcellus
Pseudo-Marcellus is the name given to the anonymous author of the Acts of Peter and Paul, the Latin apocryphon recounting the apostles’ contest with Simon Magus and their martyrdoms at Rome. Written in the fifth or sixth century, it fixed the medieval legend of the city’s twin patrons.
