Pseudo-Philo

Pseudo-Philo is the name given to the anonymous author of the Book of Biblical Antiquities, the Jewish retelling of sacred history from Adam to Saul composed in the first century. Written in Hebrew and preserved in Latin, the work expands the Bible with speeches and visions and was read for centuries as Philo of Alexandria’s own.
