Quodvultdeus

Quodvultdeus was a fifth-century bishop of Carthage, deacon and disciple of Augustine, exiled by the Vandal king Genseric to Naples. His sermons on the creed and the Lord’s Prayer for catechumens and his Book of Promises of God - an early systematic collection of prophecies - made him the heir of Augustinian preaching in Africa’s last Catholic generation.
