Richard of Saint Victor

Richard of Saint Victor was a twelfth-century Scottish or English canon of the abbey of Saint Victor in Paris, the greatest mystical theologian of the Victorine school. His treatises on contemplation - Benjamin Minor and Benjamin Major - and his work on the Trinity joined scholastic method to the inner life and shaped all later Western mysticism.
