Theonas of Alexandria was a third-century bishop of Alexandria in the generation before Peter, remembered for a pastoral letter to Lucian, chamberlain of the emperor Diocletian. His counsel on the reading of Scripture and the care of the Christian household survives in the early Latin collections.
