Theophylact of Ohrid
Theophylact of Ohrid was an eleventh- and twelfth-century Byzantine scholar and archbishop of Ohrid in Bulgaria, a pupil of Michael Psellos. His commentaries on the Gospels, Acts and the Pauline epistles - the most complete Byzantine exposition of the New Testament - carried the patristic tradition to the medieval church and remain standard in the Orthodox world.
