mai/hy ’ a good monk ‘), and George.
A series of sound, sapient psalms, as Adamnán ordained them, for cursing — a fashion unconcealed — from the Church upon every foe.
A band of saints, a way ungrudging, to ask of God the singing of psalms: a psalm each day, a noble task, of high apostle or of lofty godhead.
The first psalm which strengthens them: “Why do the heathen rage” (Ps. 2); “Lord, how are they increased” (Ps. 3) — a strain of grace — “Give ear to my words” (Ps. 5).
“O Lord my God” (Ps. 7) most swift, “The fool has said” (Ps. 13) the foremost; the sixth psalm — bright its face — “O God, my God, look upon me” (Ps. 21).
The seventh — let it not be passed by — “Judge, O Lord, them that hurt me” (Ps. 34); it is not fitting to slight it here, and “The unjust has said” (Ps. 35).
“O Lord, [rebuke me not] in your fury” (Ps. 37) — a power I chose — “I said, I will take heed” (Ps. 38), no feeble one, and “The God of gods” (Ps. 49).
“Why boastest you” (Ps. 51), fierce and bright, another “The fool has said” (Ps. 52), “Let God arise” (Ps. 67) — a comely bush therein — and “Save me, O God” (Ps. 68).
“O God, the heathen are come” (Ps. 78), not faint, and “O God, who is like to you” (Ps. 82), “O God of vengeance” (Ps. 93) of the champions, the last, “O God, [hold not your peace at] my praise” (Ps. 108).

APPENDIX.
He sang with valorous glory “Hear, O heavens, what I shall speak” (Deut. 32), the twentieth, a pure surname, to call forth this series.
As the order of the quatrains runs among the psalms — a peace not slow — every mighty saint possesses, in one utterance, the marshalling of the series.
Peter the apostle and Paul, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the comely, James, Simon the fair-flowered.
Thaddaeus and Matthias of great fame, Mark, Luke, Stephen, Ambrose, Gregory — not without gold — noble Martin and Old-Paul.
Anthony, who was a good monk,
