1 A blessing on Finachta,
today he lies in his burial chamber.
May he be with the men of heaven
for the remission of the cow-tribute.
2 To this, Adomnán of Iona responded:
3 Finachta, son of Dúnchad,
gave great gifts to the saints:
one hundred and fifty chains of cows,
and each cow with its calf.
4 This in turn generated a final verse from Moling:
5 The gap in which Finachta remains—
through it, kings used to race.
He has gone to meet his fate,
he has relinquished his royal laws.
